Thee consultant will be expected is to support the consortium (3 INGOs and 6 local partners) to enhance programme understanding of social inclusion and the right targeting of support to primary actors with disabilities to ensure effective implementation integrating social inclusion. This MYRP aims to ensure girls and boys in Myanmar, particularly the most vulnerable learners can exercise their rights to quality learning and be trained in a safe, inclusive and gender responsive, and protective environment.
Skills & Qualifications
•Expert knowledge on the use of the Washington Group questions for establishing disability prevalence amongst children.
•Strong ability to train others in applying the Washington Group questions to children and to communicate complex concepts and approaches to an audience with varied backgrounds.
•Significant experience in designing and implementation of disability inclusion interventions ( at least in one these sub-sectors : inclusion of children with disabilities ( deaf, visual impairment, learning disability).
•Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
•Knowledge on UNCRPD and understanding of laws related to persons with disabilities in Myanmar
