Role overview
To improve access to justice and pro-bono services for the poor and vulnerable, develop legal capacity of justice sector professionals and strengthen selected rule of law institutions to better fulfil their mandates.
Build the capability and capacity of existing legal aid centres to properly and effectively represent clients from local communities.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
Essential:
• Bachelor's Degree in Legal/Law or related field
• Legally qualified with minimum 5 years post qualifying experience from a Commonwealth common law system, with experience of litigation and criminal law.
• Experience of advocacy before courts and tribunals.
• Experience of diverse client base
• Experience of working outside home jurisdiction
• Experience of developing Learning and Knowledge
