Role overview
We are seeking a Fundraising Manager to develop a mix of income streams for running projects and programmes to implement the Myanmar garment industry 10-year strategy. This will include developmental assistance, corporate and state funding.
The Fundraising Manager will have an exciting opportunity to shape, maintain and lead the implementation of a fundraising strategy, developing creative new fundraising ideas and building donor relationships as well as managing the support functions.
Working as part of the Project Management Unit (PMU) for the development of the Myanmar garment industry and collaborating with the PMU Board, the post-holder will have direct accountability and responsibility for the development and leadership of the fundraising strategy for the PMU.
The primary focus will be on developing relationships with external partners and the Fundraising Manager will need to have the ability to inspire and galvanize a wide range of stakeholders.The Fundraising Manager will develop effective communication channels and cross-team working systems to understand fully the Strategic Objectives and the programme needs of PMU team members. The Fundraising Manager will have knowledge of fundraising regulation, standards and best practice, with the ability to interpret and apply them in various contexts. The Manager will lead and develop creative, compelling and succinct funding applications and donor reports, ensuring that the PMU has the proper approach, external partnerships, processes and tools to enable the securing and on-going management of such opportunities.
The Fundraising Manager will have experience of setting up contracts, and working closely with suppliers to mitigate risk and strong numerical skills, specifically the ability to analyse complex data and to translate it into digestible information.
Skills, qualifications and experience required

• Assist in the PMU coordination database of programmes and stakeholders
This management role requires an expert with a Fundraising background, strong ethical knowledge, and expertise in project management. Applications are invited from Fundraising managers with a minimum 10 + years’ experience, preferably in emerging markets. You will be a strong, organised and well-rounded manager able to find funds and support for new programmes, to coordinate effectively between multiple stakeholders and engage in multi- level dialogue.
